Dated 1954 Warren Spahn baseball glove, vintage ceramic souvenir

Vintage ceramic baseball glove with Warren Spahn 'signature', dated 1954. This measures about 5" long, maybe made as an ashtray?

It's clean and in very good condition overall, we saw one tiny fleabite chip to the glaze.
