Lot of 1950s Mid-century vintage, US military armament latch pneumatic cylinders / parts

Lot of three 1950s, Cold War vintage, pneumatic (compressed air) cylinders for United States military "Armament latches". These air cylinders measure about 5 1/2" long overall and spherical self aligning bushing on the cylinder ends.

They will extend about 1 1/2" and are rated on the labels for 1500 psi.

These are marked on the labels as part number 60012 and are stamped with dates on the cylinders. We can make out 1957 on one and 1958 on another.

We don't think that these were ever used, as they still have the threaded plugs in the bores for the airlines with their cork gaskets. Two of the cylinders have wired fittings and the other has the wires missing.
