Large vintage Barber-Colman industrial thermometer 30 to180 deg. F

Large vintage industrial thermometer with an adjustable chrome dial head. The face of the thermometer dial is marked Barber Colman and it is calibrated for a temperature range of 30 degrees up 180 degrees Fahrenheit.

This thermometer measures about 4" across the dial face and 11" long overall and about 13/16" across the threads where the thermometer is made to screw into a vessel to measure the temperature. This is in very nice condition and it works.

We're not sure what the original application for this thermometer was, but we think that it would be great for home brewing or small scale production of ethanol for environmental sustainable green bio-fuel as ethanol or alcohol both vaporize at about 170 degrees F.
