Huge retro Manning-Bowman ice bucket... we think this is proabably mid-century vintage (has that danish modern look!) but Manning-Bowman is very well known for 1930's art deco chromed pieces, and we don't really know much about their later designs.
The walnut wood lid has a bail to hold it firmly in place, and there's a carrying handle above that. The bucket measures about 13 1/2" to the top of the lid, and the bucket base is 8" in diameter. This holds an ice tongs, also marked Manning Bowman.
The interior lining is ironstone china, in good solid shape, some discoloration to the all-over crazing. The exterior chrome looks very very good, though not flawless.... there are just a couple light rough spots, not really noticeable pitting.
